Background:

In the field of civil engineering, especially in the design of reinforced concrete buildings, engineers need specialized tools to model, calculate and scale structures in accordance with existing standards.
CBS (Calculation of Buildings and Structures) is a calculation software developed specifically for:
* modeling of building-carrying structures (dalles, poles, sails, beams),
* automatic load descent, the generation of standard railings,
* production of plans and calculation notes.
It is a widely used tool in study offices in French-speaking Africa, especially in countries using BAEL or EUROCODE standards.

The main objective of this training is to enable learners to:
• Mastering the modelling process of a reinforced concrete building on CBS,
• Automated load descent,
• Check and dimension the supporting elements (dalls, beams, poles, sails),
• Automatically generate formwork and railing plans,
• Obtain calculation notes in accordance with regulatory requirements,
• Understand the links between architecture, structure and execution.

Module 3: Descent of loads
• Principles and setting of load descent
• Launch of automatic calculations
• Verification of the forces transmitted to the carrier elements

Module 4: Calculation and dimensioning of elements
• Verification of flexion, compression, shearing elements
• Calculation of slabs (isostatic and hyperstatic)
• Continuous beams and reinforced concrete poles

• Automatic generation of frames
• Manual adjustments to project requirements

* Installation of CBS software on the learners' computer in our premises located on the 6th floor of the O Poulet Boukané building, facing Ngor stadium, Almadies,
* 01 Examination of end of training divided into theoretical part and practical part on a real construction project,
* A practical internship with our subsidiary Regina House Plans (www.reginahouseplans.com)

The training is conducted by our experienced trainer, whose technical, professional and pedagogical skills have been validated by certifications and/or tested and approved by the publishers and/or our teaching team. It is present to participants throughout the course.

Prerequisite

Prerequisites for training

To make the most of CBS training, participants must have:
• Have at least one BTS in civil engineering or be in 3rd year civil engineering
• Good knowledge of materials resistance bases (MDR)
• Concepts of calculation of reinforced concrete structures
• Basic knowledge of building standards
• An ease with computer tool and CAD software (for example AutoCAD)
• No prior experience on CBS is required, the training is designed for beginners and intermediates.
